Mathlingvo — a blog about computational linguistics
Natural Language Processing — an area that is becoming more and more popular in Ross. But some resources on this topic, in Runet virtually no. Six months ago, habré represented NLPub, a directory of resources for computational linguistics. But what if you want to read the news? You can try to start from blog mathlingvo.ru
One of the largest linguistic resources in the world is LinguistList. In the average day there is published, about 10-15 messages, including announcements about schools and conferences, announcements of new books, and even obituaries. There is a possibility to subscribe only to certain types of messages, such as jobs or new books. Unfortunately subscribe to the subject impossible. Therefore, information about computational linguistics will have in any case to extract from the total flow.
Of specialized resources dedicated to Natural Language Processing, I want to mention nlppeople. This is an international Bulletin Board about vacancies in the field of automatic language processing. Unfortunately, except for vacancies, there was nothing published.
In the Russian-speaking linguistic community primary mailing list is Making, newsletter of the Moscow linguists, which publishes announcements of events not only in Moscow but in other cities and even countries. Information about computational linguistics enough, but a lot of information about other areas. St. Petersburg has a similar mailing to spb_ling.
Mathlingvo, on the contrary, concentrated on information about computational linguistics. The blog is not exhaustive, it is just two people, but all information relevant to the automatic processing of language. The authors highlight news of interest primarily to themselves.
What is published on my blog?
The authors try to cover a variety of topics related to computer linguistics. Announcements of schools and conferences, including from LinguistList and Making, jobs, new resources for linguistic development, announcements of contests and fellowships, new journals, etc. In the last time there was an editorial posts, such as post "How to become a good computer linguist" quite decent and Habra.

How to read?
For those who use e-readers on the website there is a link to RSS (you can even subscribe to new comments). There is still broadcast in Twitter and Facebook.
How can we help?
The easiest and most effective way to replenish the number of authors. A blog gives the opportunity suggest news edition. To offer not only news, but relevant jobs, description of interesting, but for some reason unknown resource, even to talk about your project in the field of automatic natural language processing.
The project is completely non-profit, all publications are absolutely free (even on vacancies). Therefore, the project would like to recruit new authors in order to reduce the burden on existing ones.
And of course the project will be glad to new readers.
